IMPORTANT COVID-19 Update - Effective Monday 12th April 2021

To our wonderful clients

Following the easing of government restrictions and the reduction in Covid case numbers, we are happy to announce that from 12th April we will be starting to welcome client's back into the practice again. We want to say a massive thank you to everyone who has been so understanding during these last few months. We know how hard it is to hand your pet over at the door and not be with them during their treatment -  thank you for putting your trust in us to look after them in your stead.

In order to keep everyone safe, we can only allow one person to in to accompany your pet in the consulting room. You must wear a mask at all times, and sanitise your hands on entry and exit at the stations provided. We would ask that you call reception on arrival to book in, and then wait outside until the vet/nurse calls you through.

Our consulting rooms look a little different at the moment. Thankfully, they are large enough to allow you to stand/sit 2m away from the vet during the consultation during the history taking part of the exam, and we will encourage this distancing as much as possible. We will also, in most cases, keep the door open to allow as much air movement as possible. When it is time for your pet to pop onto the table to be examined/treated, you will be able to come forwards with them. We have Perspex screens coming down from the ceiling to allow you to hold and comfort your pet whilst also remaining safely separated from the vet/nurse.

If your pet is too big to fit on the table, we will need to continue to have our lovely nurses/patient care assistance assist with holding due to the close proximity - but you are very welcome to remain in the room throughout.

The updated regulations no longer require us to postpone vaccinations, so we will be resuming this service as normal. However please bear in mind there may be a longer waiting list than normal to book in for these. Please call with as much notice as possible to ensure we can get you booked in at the right time.

We want to thank all our wonderful clients, from the bottom of our hearts, for your co-operation, compassion and supportive messages throughout this pandemic so far.

It has been a strange year for everyone, but we are very much looking forward to seeing you and your furry family members in person again soon.

Important Client Notice

During this lockdown, some routine appointments will be delayed. Please call for reception for advice in the first instance. Please note, puppy and kitten first vaccinations will continue as normal, but annual boosters can safely be delayed for up to 3 months.

Home Visits

Unfortunately, we are not able to offer home visits at this stage. We have sadly taken this decision in order to protect the health and safety of our staff, and ensure the continuing ability of Crossroads to remain open for pets even in the face of rising Covid cases. We are truly sorry to have to suspend this service, and we know many people will be understandably disappointed, but I hope our clients will understand that we are trying to make the best decisions in what are strange and unprecedented times. We will update as soon as we feel able to lift this restriction. Thank you so much for your understanding.
